New OpenEye rugged outdoor bullet camera provides improved WDR and image clarity

OpenEye, a leading provider of cloud-managed video surveillance solutions, announces a new 4MP bullet camera equipped with true WDR, adaptive IR and an autofocus motorized lens for faster, easier installation. The cameras will be available to ship in January 2021.

The outdoor-rated OE-C2012B4 is a 4MP rugged outdoor IP bullet camera equipped with a 2.8~12mm varifocal, autofocus, zoom lens that provides crisp and clear images as well as flexible and easy installation options. Like all OpenEye cameras, the bullet camera includes Smart Compression which reduces network throughput and allows users to retain more days of video using the same amount of storage without impacting video quality. The camera provides superior images in varied lighting environments, including nighttime, using True WDR and infrared LEDs with a range up to 164’. Adaptive IR technology prevents overexposure of objects close to the camera, further enhancing the low light performance.

To support the enhanced remote monitoring capabilities of the OWS platform, the new bullets have two-way audio and sensor relay connections.

The OE-C2012B4 is ONVIF™ compliant, NDAA compliant, and fully compatible with the OpenEye Web Services platform, allowing multiple users to concurrently view high-quality images and set up cameras and recorders remotely using a web browser.
