OpenEye Adds Remote Client Clip Sharing

OpenEye has added a new feature to its OpenEye Web Services (OWS) open-cloud platform that allows users to share video clips from a remote client. The “share from remote client” option is included on the Command Station desktop client and OpenEye Mobile app for iOS.

OWS streamlines the export and sharing of video clips by moving the entire process to the cloud, making it faster and more secure than using physical media. Online clip sharing generates significant time savings for organizations that regularly export and share video with co-workers, authorities or an insurance company. When exporting a clip from the mobile app or Command Station, users can add recipients during the export process without the extra step or navigating to the OWS cloud portal to complete the process.

OWS will instantly send an email to each recipient, which includes a password-protected link to a video clip as well as a short message if included. An expiration and download permissions or restrictions can be set. If users need to share video with someone who is not already a user on the OWS system, a guest user account invitation can be sent. Recipients can review video clips on any device that has a web browser, including a smart phone or other mobile device; no player or special software is required.

Complete investigations faster and share evidence while still on the scene or otherwise on the go using easy video export and clip sharing in OWS remote clients.
