OpenEye Celebrates Community with Bike Build Event for Local School District

This year, OpenEye hosted its 13th Annual Bike Build on December 5th. More than 100 schoolchildren from Central Valley School District visited our Liberty Lake, Washington headquarters to collaboratively build a new bicycle with an OpenEye employee.

The children not only built their new bicycle, but they also had the chance to take part in an interactive presentation and hands-on technology lab, as well as a tour of the building to see how OpenEye works as a company.

This annual event is one of the many ways OpenEye works to give back to our community by fostering an interest in technology for the next generation.

The presentation and interactive lab taught students what coding and STEM are and had them complete a scavenger hunt using OpenEye surveillance cameras to find objects placed throughout the building.

Alongside the presentation, lab, and building their own bicycle, each student also received a new helmet, shirt, water bottle, bike lock, and other goodies.

OpenEye is honored to host an event where our company is able to meaningfully give back to the community. We are proud to demonstrate our employees’ commitment to fostering another generation of thinkers and creators.
