Liberty Lake, WASH. – July 17, 2019 – OpenEye, a leading provider of cloud-managed video surveillance solutions, announces the release of the July 2019 OpenEye Web Services (OWS) update v2.0. The latest update includes updated video clip export tools, new remote client security settings, and other updates to make finding video and managing the system easier.
The web client has been updated in this release to use HTML5 for increased video performance and security and no plugins to install. New remote client security settings also allow administrators to define remote client access by user group or client type as well as restrict access to a predefined IP address range making it faster and easier to follow security protocols. OWS expanded Multifactor Authentication for the OpenEye mobile app and at the console and it is now compatible with international SMS.
A new video export manager allows users to view export progress or cancel exports in the OpenEye Apex software and users can now export video from multiple cameras at one time after an incident making it easier to get a complete view. For customers running point of sale systems or in areas with slow internet connections, bandwidth and transcoding management are now available to improve performance and reserve bandwidth for other internet activity like a POS system.
More new features in version 2.0 include interactive maps and site search in Command Station, additional search types in the mobile app, integration with Axis single-sensor cameras and with SightLogix thermal camera analytics, and a new camera inventory report to save time and money on security and policy compliance audits.
