If the Low Disk Space notification should ever pop up, you can disable it by
following these steps.
You can only disable these low disk space
messages by changing a setting in the Windows Registry. This is a system-wide
change, so Windows won’t warn you about low disk space on any of your drives
after you change it.
(Warning : The
Registry Editor is a powerful tool and misusing it can render your system
unstable or even inoperable. So proceed with caution and preciseness. )
- Type run in the search field in of windows :
2. You then type regedit to get to the registry
editor - in Windows 10 you can just type registry editor, in the
search, to get to the registry editor app.
Start > Run > Regedit > OK
3. Now navigate to the following location HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
4. Right-Click on the blank area of the right
pane of the registry editor and create a new DWORD Value by selecting New >
DWORD Value.
5. Name this newly created DWORD Value
-"NoLowDiskSpaceChecks"
6. Now double-click on the new DWORD and assign
it the value 1.
7. Close the registry editor and restart the
system.
